Photovoltaic design is a very nice project on paper, but it faces a harsh reality when you arrive at the job site.
You have to be prepared to solve the problem or tell the client it can’t be done, refund the money they paid in advance, and walk away.
1️⃣IMPORTANT: Providing solutions, not excuses, in any professional field, is always what makes the difference.
2️⃣MORE IMPORTANT: Don’t be suicidal. “Hold my drink” can sometimes destroy your reputation and cost you a fortune you can’t afford.
3️⃣ESSENTIAL: Use structures designed to withstand additional loads caused by wind, a critical factor that can compromise the integrity of both the panels and the roof, in line with the Structural Code of RD 470/2021 and the UNE-EN 1090 standard.
4️⃣THE MOST ESSENTIAL: If you don’t know or aren’t sure, ask. There are professionals here who know what’s unwritten about structures.
It’s essential to know where you’re going to install, the specific characteristics of the area, and consider the regulatory and technical aspects.
Remember that an assessment of wind loads and proper execution of the support structures will guarantee the long-term safety and efficiency of the photovoltaic system.
There are already too many crazy people out there, without any control. Don’t be one of them.
Have you ever found yourself needing to do something like what appears in the image?
Have you adopted other solutions?
Can you tell me how you did it?
